Quilting Services From Quilter's Haven

I’m glad you’re here. Let me give you a little background about my sewing and quilting experience.

QuiltingAt about age 8, mom started me in a beginning sewing class. My first project was a basic garment. This is where we use a 5/8” seam allowance. Even today in quilting when we sew jackets and vests, that 5/8” seam is still used. Then each year as I grew in knowledge and excitement about the various techniques and colors, I continued with the textile field until I was out of high school. There needed to be a next step… and that was piecing quilt tops and doing quilting. As we all know, this is where we began to use that famous ¼” seam allowance instead. What a transition yet, the same truism that the needle goes up and the needle goes down, whether creating clothing or quilting projects.

As time progressed, I wanted to do more in this field to enhance my quilting experience. Years ago, I bought a long arm quilting machine. Many quilts have now been quilted utilizing plain and specialty threads. Customers have been very pleased to see their pieced quilt come alive.

Over a year ago, I purchased the top of the line Gammill with the computerized component. This enables me to utilize an array of quilting patterns as well as the option of doing free motion quilting to enhance your piecing. The fascination and study of color and design is what I bring to you. This is all done in a smoke-free, clean environment. I welcome the opportunity to do that quilting to enhance your already pieced top.
